A Remarkable Year!
N2O Risk Model
The year opened with our second successful Water Resource Recovery Facility N2O mitigation test in The Netherlands using the N2O Risk Model, and completion of a successful N2O Risk Model trial with Melbourne Water! 💦
Cobalt Water developed an integrated Computational Fluid Dynamics / N2O Risk Model to predict three-dimensional N2O risk for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) reactors and optimize WWTP design. The model was validated and tested in Waterboard De Dommel's Eindhoven WRRF (Netherlands) and presented at Watermatex by Dr. Stefan Weijers, Innovation Manager at Waterboard De Dommel.
The Risk Model is being used by Waterboard De Dommel staff, with support from CWG, to assess each of their Water Resource Recovery Facilities and develop prioritized strategies for N2O mitigation from WRRFs.
Expanding Our Sights... To Europe!
Cobalt Water joined the Resource Recovery Technology (R2T) Consortium, a strategic partnership between Ghent University and industrial partners that aims to accelerate the development and implementation of breakthrough technology on resource recovery from water.
LESSWAT Project selected CWG to provide N2O risk modeling and support for N2O mitigation testing of four European WRRFs. Awarded European Commission's Interreg Project as part of R&D consortium.
Trainer and participant in the 92nd Annual WEFTEC Technical Exhibition and Conference.
Climate Week NYC
NYC Water & Climate
Cobalt Water Global hosted the second NYC Water and Climate event, and official Climate Week NYC 2019 event. All proceeds were donated to Water for People, a charity dedicated to bringing safe drinking water to people in developing countries and helping to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals. The water charity event focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation in the water sector, and its role in meeting UN Sustainable Development Goal 6.
Closing 2019 Around the World!
Ecuador, China, India
🇪🇨 Sustainable water in Ecuador! Water Sustainability Chair and panelist presenter of AI in Wastewater Treatment Technology at IWA-IDB Sustainable Use of Water Conference in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
🇨🇳 Hosted a delegation from Central and Southern China Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute to discuss mitigating N2O emissions from WRRFs utilizing Artificial Intelligence and integrated water management.
🇮🇳 Invited to train and facilitate a Low-carbon Water Management workshop in India.
